New update
Kingmount just grew. Plot by plot land, ward by ward cities, a council that fights at the table and a court that can truly take your throne.

Seat your officials at one table. You raise the matter, you have the last word.

Some whispers are true, some are slander. Move too late and the throne is gone.

Those you break never forget. They ambush, raid your caravans and return stronger.

Steppe hordes, plague, famine, great wars. Peace never lasts.

Every plot has its own soil, shore and road. Put the right building in the right place.

Win a village not by the sword but with land and the people behind you.

Houses, shops, inns, mansions. Buy, sell, rent, or build on an empty lot.

Everything you own on one list. Talk to your keeper and give the order.
Pick who you are on day one. Each start plays differently, and nothing stops a peasant from wearing the crown.

A small plot and a hard year. Sow, reap, sell at the threshing floor and save your way out.

Your royal council, commander, stewards and aides sit at one table. War, diplomacy, shadow work, laws, the treasury: you pick the matter and the target, and everyone speaks from their own field. Hard decisions pay well when they hold and cost dearly when they fail.

Grant an official authority over their domain: security, treasury, justice, court, trade or the provinces. They appoint the posts below them, and may pick the best candidate or their own kin. A client votes with their patron whenever the patron is at the table.

Officials grow ambitious as they grow strong. The bitter gather followers and whispers reach you; some are true, some invented to burn the innocent. Investigate, accuse, buy them off or look away. A successful coup truly takes your throne, but the road back from exile stays open.

The lord you stripped of a fief, the aide who ran off with the treasury, the usurper you dethroned. They stay on the ledger and come for you: ambushes, raided caravans, stirred up towns, a blackened name. Beat them and they may escape and return stronger. Catch them and their fate is yours to decide.

When life gets comfortable the world shakes: steppe hordes, great plague, famine, great war. Pay tribute, mobilize, open the granaries or profiteer? And when you come back, a While You Were Away summary lays out what happened and who is waiting.
Land and property

The country around every settlement is divided into plots, and no two are alike. Fertile soil, shoreline, market access and roads decide what each building earns. Your property is a real place on the map, and you walk there yourself.

Nothing appears with one click. Contractors bid on price, time and quality, buy materials from merchants and hire crews. Miss a payment and the relationship sours. You can also become a contractor and take on jobs posted by others.

Castles and cities are never for sale; they can only be conquered. Villages are different: gather most of the plots, win the people, and the lordship is yours. Inherit a share and you can buy back the rest.

Every town is split into wards, drawn one by one on a street map. Buy a house, shop, workshop, warehouse, mansion or inn, set the rent and wait for a tenant. Build on an empty lot. Stay at an inn: the menu closes and the world rolls on.

The My Holdings ledger shows everything you own, city by city: its value, its daily earnings and what is happening there right now. Assign a keeper who reports to you, explains the money, warns of danger and makes suggestions.
Trade

Peasants sell at the threshing floor. Some are proud, some are desperate, and a rival may raise your bid. A good price today is a loyal supplier tomorrow.

Hire a procurement aide, a marketing aide, a security captain and a chief aide. Each has a skill, a wage and a report to make, and your business keeps running while you are away.

Sit down with the guild master for bulk deals and credit, then ask the vizier for customs exemptions, monopolies and army supply contracts. Refusal costs nothing but pride.

Horse, cattle, sheep, goat and camel farms dot the map. Your standing sets the discount, the acceptance chance and your credit line. Miss a payment and they seize your goods.

A small cart, a farm wagon or a heavy freight wagon: every one has a quality, a durability and a lifespan. Without draft animals your wagons crawl, and without guards they vanish.
The sea

Click a town across the water and your party rides to the port, boards, sails and lands. Or buy your own ships and let them earn on the trade lanes.

Corsairs prowl the same routes you use. Pay for speed and risk them, or take the fight to them and clear the lanes yourself.

Harbours decide what is scarce and what is cheap. Carry salt to the mountains and iron to the coast, and watch your name spread.
War

Food, weapons, horses and wagons must reach the front. Open tenders, consult your commander and keep the supply line alive, because hunger falls before walls do.

Lead your troops on a tactical field, or trust your captains and let the numbers fall. AI lords launch their own campaigns, so the map moves whether you do or not.

Build foundries, hire masters and research better steel. Arms merchants answer to no crown, sell to both sides and will make secret pacts with anyone who pays.
The court

Your vizier rides with you and reports the state of the realm. Give missions to your council, consult your commander and hold audiences with the people under you.

Set taxes and customs, take loans and read a treasury that shows each income and cost, day by day. A rich realm is a choice you make line by line.
Life in Eldara

Marry, raise children, name an heir. When you die the game does not end: your heir takes the seat and your house lives on, debts and enemies included.

Enter the lists, host your own tournament and throw festivals that win the hearts of your city. Renown opens doors gold cannot.

Recruit in taverns, meet wanderers and deal with the underworld. Every city has districts, gangs, notables and its own troubles.

Join the shared world where all players live on the same continent and time never stops, or play your own campaign. You can even take over a living lord or a throne.
From wheat and wool to warhorses, jewels and freight wagons, every item is produced, shipped, taxed and consumed.
