Play Diary: Emre the Steward, From 3k to 28k

Studio play diary: Emre is a fictional character, not a real player. The game was played by our studio autoplayer; the events, figures and screens come from that run, and the telling is ours.

I kept a house’s ledgers and began with 3,077 gold, one of the humblest of the 13 starts. On day 11 Steward of the House closed and my clan rose to tier 1.

Who reads ledgers can trade

By day 84 I had 9,720, and Trade hit 50 on day 85. The next 168 days tripled it. Money grows slowly, then all at once.

Tip: Be patient for the first 80 days. With more capital the same route earns far more.

Bandits, as ever

I lost five fights and had cargo stolen 29 times. On day 41 I lost 522 gold and fell back to Fairhollow. I never hired a soldier.

I ended day 252 with 26,529 in cash and 28,123 in net worth, nine times my start, plus 61 renown.

Tip: When the purse grows, stop just carrying it. Buy workshops, property or land to cut your raid risk.
