Ships, Ports and Pirates: How the Sea Works in Kingdoms of Earth

Eldara is three continents, and the only way between them is water. That makes the sea the most profitable and most dangerous place in the game.

One click to cross the world

Click a town overseas and the game compares the land and sea routes. It rides your party to the best port, pays the fare, sails, lands and walks you to the door. If you cannot afford the fare it will tell you.

Trade ships

Buy a ship at a port and it starts working a trade lane on its own, earning on every trip.

Pirates

Pirate crews roam the same lanes merchants use. Every route shows its risk before you sail. You can pay and pray, or head out and hunt them for gold and fame. Clearing a lane helps everyone who trades on it, including your rivals.

Why ports matter

A port town sees goods from other continents. Prices differ more across the sea than across a valley, and that gap is where a merchant gets rich.
