Why Sieges Are Won on the Supply Line

Taking a city in Kingdoms of Earth is not a matter of dragging a big army onto a wall. A real campaign is mostly arithmetic.
Count the bread first
An army eats every day. Food, weapons, armour, horses and wagons all have to reach the front, and the map between your depot and the enemy decides how much arrives.
Let merchants do the work
Open a public tender and merchant houses bid to supply you. Armed escorts protect the convoy, or a bidder may vanish with your goods. Choose carefully.
Talk to your commander
Your chief commander will tell you what is missing before you march. Listening costs nothing, and ignoring them usually costs an army.
Then fight
When battle comes you can command it yourself on a tactical field or let the numbers decide. Inside a besieged city hunger and unrest do the rest.
